First, the sound quality is very, very good.  About an 8 or 9 out of 10.  I think the gain is a little low but that can be fixed by jacking up the volume!

I've only listened to a few songs so far, and I just finished The Music Never Stops.  A few mistakes at the very beginning but an exciting version of it.  It gets you pumped up!  I also listened to Lazy Lightnin' > Supplication and that too is a better than average version.  But I can't give it a glowing review.  

I'm listening to the rest of the show but in the meantime I'm submitting this so I can be the first poster.  :)  I'll add more later when I've finished listening to the concert.

From the opening different feel of Promised meandering into a sweet Sugaree and the rest of the long, laid back, but tight first set; this show rocks. 
The Bertha, Estimated Scarlet>Fire Good Lovin second set opener just gels into bliss.

Take a top quality recording mix it into May 77' and roll it out of New Haven. Ah!

It's all gravy

This show is tits from start to finish. The sound is great and the song selection is right up this head's alley. For some reason I am really into Music Never Stopped lately (you know hos it is, you cyle through faves) and this version gets my blood pumping and my feet stomping. Well worth the download, um, er, listen... ; )

By far, the best performance of Looks Like Rain I can find anywhere!  Jerry choice of notes and phrasing during the guitar solo is perfect!  Phil's bass line is incredibly melodic and flowing.  Grateful Dead at their best.  Audio quality is excellent.  I'd love to know if video of this show exists???

I noticed a few dropouts during Tennessee Jed and Deal, that are not in the other Archives version.

A mother of a Betty-Board and five for the mix alone...and it's ever clear that the roll had begun well before Cornell. 

None have mentioned yet, but the Stephen on this night is a playful journey all it's own for 11 minutes or so before slipping into a romping Sugar Mag. I'm not aware of another night when they focused on it like this as one complete "movement" before...moving on. Pretty cool.    

Oh the joy to be found in both sets,  and adds fuel to the debate regarding the best of the band's eras and highpoints. I'm torn...again

I was there; the show makes my top 10 all time,  from Tennesse on was a circus; the St Stephen breathes life and if Bob didn't cut Sugar a little short I'd still be in my seat....I never saw so many colors....there's a lot of ink on the next three nights but you have to include 5/5 and 5/11 to get one of the best weeks of the GD experience......

Just like yesterday

Amazing the decisions one makes .. like deciding to go do New Haven and hustle up to Boston for 7th. did 16 shows in 1977. east and west coast. Last run across country for me. Might say I was Peeking with the band.. They weir the Orange Sunshine of my life. What a Trip, Man..

Everything about this show is amazing. The setlist is perfect and this is probably my favorite Sugaree. If anyone has a copy let me know!

Favorite Show of Mine

As a Peggy-O aficionado, I would say this ranks right up there with the best.
